Dec 3 to 10, 2007

We left Quebec City in a snow storm one week ago! Sun, sand, sail and sex for a week in paradise.

Thank you Victoria and Curt for making my 1st sail trip a success and my husband will be more than happy to come back sailing now that I know the wonderful world of sailing!

We look forward to gazing at the Caribbean stars but for now, we will be closer to the north star.

Have a great holiday. Thank you for the great vacation.

If I had to title the trip, it would be...  "FUN ~ FUN ~ FUN!"

As a "Wannabe" Sailor I've been plotting a sailing trip for years and this was the perfect execution of it. Modern life is way too fast and spending time at 2 or 3 knots puts things back in perspective.

I really loved spending a week in a swimsuit, or less, long sessions of swimming and snorkeling only interrupted by a wonderful meal, or a nap. What a rough life!

The sea is a cauldron of life and the simple act of swimming through it and witnessing its beauty has been an experience I will never forget.

I want to come back already! You guys were really great with improvising a "Plan B" and I'm so happy Judy had a good time. Watching her enjoy herself was fun too.

I am not ready to move back to dry land, but its great knowing how easily we can do this again. We share a love for things of simple beauty and don't know any better way to do it then from a sailboat. Judy and I are going to have so many nice things to relate to our friends and family, but credit is due to you and the lovely Billy Jean for making this happen.

We don't want to go home! We really needed this trip and you did a great job giving us a "trip of a lifetime", but we are not done! It doesn't have to be a singular experience and we are sold on this. This time we spent on Billy Jean recharged us, rejuvenated us, and we're ready to resume our "landlubber" life knowing that we're only a few hours away from paradise.

Thank you so much for helping me make the waning days of "Greg's 30's" so fun! (Yes ~ I know he will get so much wiser now) You are both so charming & lovely, that the charter life seems excellent ~ until I realize how hard you work!!! There are many memories we could thank you for, but the shining examples follow...

~showing me how to prepare veggies so they actually be eaten, including "broccoli a la dinghy"

~ my favorite dessert ~ German Chocolate, YUMMY

~ taking us to so many beautiful places that will be the back drop for the 2007 swim suit calendar. (Clearly I will never run out of "oh Wow!"

~ teaching me the slick bikini top trick (front tie way cooler) and inspiring me to wear Curt's two favorite colors (and apparently Greg's as well) ~ short and tight

~ putting the kayak in so many time because we love kayaking! (especially to small private islands, That's a different memory card!!! he he he)

~opening the door to Old San Juan and El Yunque. Truly an inspiring and lovely experience. Thank you for sharing your beloved place.

~ determining (with much trial & error) the exact number of glasses of wine (red Only) to help me sleep on the boat and be un-hyper........-ish!       Greg & Teresa Driskell , Indianapolis, IN

Dear Curt & Victoria,     We are so grateful to your mother Victoria, for being so flexible that our vacation became possible. We were so in need of some relaxation and we certainly got it. You were such gracious host anticipating all of our needs. I've never been fed so well and with such enthusiasm. Thank you for showing us your world and making us feel welcomed and well cared for. Thank you especially for enduring Bill and his please for you to open a restaurant. Really though, the food is that good. Until we see you again, and we will, wishing you all the best in the years to come.  Janet & Bill

P.S. Parmesan shrimp, fried peppers, filet mignon, sesame peppered broccoli, smoked peas, banana pancakes. yum yum :-)  We look forward to seeing you and eating with you again ~ you're terrific ~  Bill

The Baker Experience "Part II"

March 31st to April 7th, 2006

Thanks again for another wonderful vacation! The Spanish Virgin Islands are great. The whole trip was perfect. The snorkeling was the best yet especially around "Diks Bay." The kayaking was good at Porto Manglar. The sea cucumbers and starfish were bountiful.

Next time we might bring the kids...... maybe not. Sailing together with you on the Billy Jean is one of the best things we've ever done as a married couple.

Thanks for the wonderful trip, food, education and conversation.

Victoria and Curt,

Thank you, Thank You, Thank you for a fantastic week on your beautiful boat. We have been to some great places together - maybe the aptly named "peace and love" at Little Harbor was our personal favorite but all the islands were worth a week never mind the odd day that we managed. On board the way you looked after us could not have been better if we had been family. The cuisine out shone any of the restaurants we visited and I woke up every morning with eager anticipation of the days creation. We hope that your charter business goes from strength to strength and we will be sure to pass your details on to anyone heading for the Caribbean. Take care of each other and hope to see you again XXXXX Mike

Dearest "wei duo li ya" (full of beauty and grace) and "ke de" (polite German)

Thank you so much for a wonderful week together. You have made my first sailing holiday very memberable - the islands have been magical, food spectacular and we learnt alot from sailing with you - even though i maybe the sleepiest guest you have had.... so far. We wish you many happy & successful charters & business ahead & if you sail or fly to China, we would love to see you there!!

Happy , Healthy & Prosperous New Year  :-) Jwee  BEIJING CHINA

December 1 to 8, 2005

We can't thank you enough for making our honeymoon and first sailing experience out of this world! We had so much fun, too much sun, the most delicious food and wonderful company. Thank you for making us so comfortable and "telling us" how to relax and what to do & when! We needed it!! From snorkeling around Watermelon Cay to livin' it up at Willy T's we enjoyed every miniute of it! We may not have all our "own" pictures but our memories will live on in our  minds forever! We will surely meet again, Thank you so much! With Thanks & love Bethany Roxo     God Bless!

Thank you for the wonderful trip. From the USVI to the BVI and back again it was a honeymoon trip we will never forget. You are great people and I feel like we became friends and that is how I would measure a great crew. Besides you also made us wonderful food, from snorkeling, to Foxy's, Willy T's, Virgin Gorda Baths, the bathroom on Peter Island, our first Black Santa Cause, the ribs on St. John, everything was better then I could have imagined. Please feel free to visit us in the Northeast when you come up next. We must stay in touch. Thanks for a great honeymoon. Nate Roxo

November 2 to 9, 2205

We can't thank-you enough for the fabulous week aboard the Billy Jean. You exceeded our expectations and we tank you for it. You took us to some of the most beautiful and breathtaking spots. We would not have been able to experience unless we were with you guys. Your experience and professional were top notch. We felt safe knowing you both had a passion for sailing. The meals you served were out of this world! The planning that went into them was much appreciated and we enjoyed every one!  Cocktails were great especially the German Chocolate Cake!

Highlights: The Baths, The Rock (Spencer), ATV riding on Jost, Mark at Foxy's (one too many Firewater's), Real Estate Book, Delicious meals, perfect music, cruise ship sailing into the sunset!

Thank you again Mark & Melanie Teliska :-)  P.S. Visit us when you come to NY at Gourmeli Cafe

June 25th to July 2nd, 2005

The second time was as good as the first, ok maybe better ~ except for the mosquito's (that would have been a great Scrabble word).  I can't wait to come back and try water skiing again. The food was fabulous, the scrabble fun and the sunsets gorgeous, but the company was the BEST! Curt & Victoria you are the best and made our vacation a fabulous experience once again. I can't wait to come back and do trip number three. And Yes, Richard is still talking, but as we found out no one is really listening. Thanks for a great trip, Frankie Laurent

.

Frankie & Richard

Life is Good!

My hope was that our second trip on the Billy Jean would be as great as the first. It turned out even better. The "Spanish Virgin Islands" offered more secluded beaches, and moorings. The food was even better , since Frankie let Victoria do seafood. The Red Snapper was fantastic! We learned many new words, that are only useful in Scrabble. I now know that an "ecu" is an old French coin, and that a "Ree" is a female Eurasian sandpiper. I can't wait to use them in my day to day life. Frankie's water skiing success will be a cherished memory. We learned the salsa at the Pool Palace in Old San Juan, and even played some pool. The "El Yuque Rain Forest" hikes were beautiful. The only problem with the trip was that it ended to soon. Thanks for Everything, Richard

Our first sailing experience could not have been more pleasurable!  The food, so gourmet!! Billy Jean ~ she was so comfortable ~ a true home away from home. You made us feel truly welcomed. The scenery was spectacular! But ~ or shall I save "However" the host & hostess were fantastic ~ we now have new friends & family. The week went to fast. We put ourselves in "Good Hands", we will have to "sail away" again. We are so glad we met you ~ you will have to come to California!! I will think of you every time I cook one of your dishes! :)    Love Ya, Alex and Kathleen

April 11-19, 2005

What a week! Sailing is a great experience. Thanks for the chance to see the islands from the "other side".

We certainly won't forget Victoria catching the fish (+ Curt removing them) and the rain forest experience was awesome! But nothing can compare to the barracuda encounter.

You already know how much we loved the food. Unfortunately ~ I can't tell you which meal was the best ~ because it was all fantastic. Thanks for a lovely week aboard "Billy Jean".                                               Charlotte & Bill Hough

Dear Victoria ~ What a fabulous week! You took Gill from a cranky, old fat guy to a sweet naked guy who will have had prints on his butt for life! What can we say ~ it was just an excellent trip we will never forget ~ from the snorkeling to the 3 excellent meals we had every day ~ from Virgin Gorda to Trellis Bay to Virgin Gorda to Trellis Bay.     Thank you so much for showing us the beautiful BVI's. You told us you wouldn't steer us wrong & you didn't! You are the best captain & chef ever! Thanks for sharing some of your "secret" recipes... Thanks for showing us the Southern Cross and spending the time pointing out other stars. It was a trip we will never forget... Sandy was such a sweet heart... best crew in the islands I'm sure! I hope we didn't corrupt her too much... being the rude crude dirty stay outs we are! Thank you for a fantastic time... so F***in what Victoria!! Love you Gill & Lori Dutson, The Utah Jacks

Victoria, thanks for a wonderful time! I can see why people pack it up to live here. The meals, the snorkeling, sailing was all wonderful. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Thanks for putting up with us. "It was a wonderful cruise". Love you, Kelly Hensen

Thank you so very much for a wonderful week on Billy Jean. You are both considerate host, fabulous cooks, great captains and warm fun loving people!! Every meal was a true adventure in itself and I really don't ever want to cook again! I am sure you ordered the perfect weather and calm seas just for us, in the same manner as everything else you did. The snorkeling and diving were fabulous and we appreciate you being so blasé' about the "white butt turtles". I would love to go shopping with Victoria as she has the most fabulous outfits! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Wishing you the best of luck with you business, good health and lots of love!!!! Marlene

Thank you both for a memorable week! Curt's seemingly effortless seamanship made the yachting experience great, and Victoria's statuesque appearance was breathtaking. Thank you Curt for assisting me in my purchase of a waterproof case for my digital camera. The pictures attest to this. To both of you, your cooking was absolutely fantastic, we loved every meal. Sharing stories about our lives made this a friendship as much as a charter. Thanks for everything. Terry

Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! You both treated us like royal family from the minute we arrived. Drinks in our hands, munchies on the table always, causing a smile on our faces. We felt like we were #1 instead of #2001. The food was delicious, cooked with care and flare. Thank you for warmly welcoming us into your exclusive family of cruisers. Ted & Claudia Bowler from San Diego, California

I don't think the Legacy could even come close to the "Billy Jean". Thank you for opening our eyes to the wonders and beauty of the Caribbean Islands & all the great hospitality & food! :)  :) It was just a taste and we can't wait to get more of Paradise! With much appreciation & friendship Ted & Claudia

Here's to Wine, Men & Woman, and to you Curt & Victoria for giving us one of the best weeks ever! Thank you ~ and here's to the next sail.  JR from Orlando, Florida

Don't forget the jelly fish patrol, great political discussions, fine cigars, booby flashings and Chip's never ending "Stupidica". Absolutely the time of our lives with our new friends. Can't wait to come back for another sailing adventure with "ya'll"!!               Much Love   Chip and Michelle

We had a wonderful time, soon we will be in rehab, reminiscing all those Fantastic "Happy Hours - Happy Endings". Every day was and adventure we will never forget. The food was incredible. I especially liked Curt's coffee selection for the day. And will remember the school of jellyfish, How beautiful! and scrambling to get back to the boat. Old San Juan bought back memories from years past. We will never forget you both or this trip.     We'll be back.     Lots of Love,     Maureen and Bob
